In 1947, Pellikaan Bouwbedrijf was founded in The Netherlands as a regional construction company. By the 1960s, we began to focus on sports facilities and soon people in different countries were interested in all that we have to offer. As a result, subsidiaries were founded in Belgium, Germany and England in 1967, 1972 and 1984 respectively.
Today, the company continues to excel in the design and construction of sports facilities. However, we also use our diverse talents to work on other buildings. At the moment, in Europe, multi-purpose facilities make up a growing part of our activities, for example local authority projects where schools are combined with library, community services facilities or sports facilities.
Operation
Pellikaan started operating tennis centres in The Netherlands in 1976, a concept which was further developed over time. Now, with the constructing the seventh Pellikaan Club underway, we can apply over 30 years of sports club operation experience to deliver suitable and economical architecture and engineering solutions.
Since its foundation in 1947, Pellikaan has grown significantly, but is still a family-run company, centralised in Tilburg. This ensures that all of our subsidiaries benefit from the knowledge and experience used on all of our international projects.
