Eco art to save energy

For the 2011 Environmental Campaign at Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, schools were invited to enter an eco art competition. The pupils made some great works of art, showing their awareness of environmental issues.

The winning works have been used to make a calendar which is intended to inspire even more people to use less energy. Our Andrew Laslett, project manager at the New Leisure Centre was in Redhill for the Prize Giving Event on 12 November and was very pleased and impressed with the artistic works as well as with the level of understanding of environmental results.

Pellikaan decided to get involved and sponsor the campaign. Not only to help raise awareness about this important topic, but also because we want to support Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, as they are practicing what they preach. At the specific request of the council, the design of the new Horley Leisure Centre which is nearing completion, is aimed at using less energy.
