First part Louis Davids Carré open

The new schools are the first part of the Louis Davids Carré project that was opened. On 5 January 2011 the building was handed over to the council of Zandvoort.

Hard work

Because of the sudden frost and snow in the last weeks of 2010, all parties worked very hard to finish the building in time. Some improvising was required, but the scheduled move could take place during the past weeks. Children's Centre Ducky Duck was the first to move on 31 December, followed by two schools and a playgroup. Tuesday evening 4 January these four parts of the new school centre were proudly presented to all children and their parents/caretakers. Many people took advantage of this possibility.

The next parts of this project are an underground parking for 511 cars, housing, library, sports hall and council offices.
