Since 1976, Pellikaan has operated a number of Pellikaan Health & Racquet Clubs in The Netherlands. The experience gained from operating our own racquet centres and health clubs is an important asset for our Design & Build work as well as the Consultancy. It is this practical knowledge that enables us to assess plans pragmatically, taking into account the operational issues of any designs and plans right from the start.
Pellikaan sports centres have always been innovative. In 1976, the original Pellikaan Tennis Centre was one of the first centres to offer multipurpose sports facilities such as swimming pools and sports halls in addition to indoor tennis courts. We also recognised a wider range of possibilities for the centres and organised many events including fashion shows and international tennis tournaments. In 1993, our membership clubs were introduced to the European mainland with the launch of the Pellikaan Health & Racquet Club in Amersfoort.
Our impressive operational experience and innovations are an important asset when developing new sports centres; feedback from our staff as well as members adds valuable knowledge to those responsible for the design and planning of new sports facilities throughout Western Europe.
